The Parade 5K runs on July 4, 2026. Race starts at 7:00 AM with packet pickup beginning at 6:00 AM. The course must be cleared by 10:00 AM for the July 4th parade.
Limited parking is available in downtown Alameda. We recommend parking in the Alameda County Fairgrounds lot off Pacific Avenue (a short walk to the start line) or using public transportation. Parking details will be provided in your race packet.
Absolutely! Many runners wear patriotic costumes, July 4th themed outfits, or red, white, and blue gear. Just make sure your costume doesn't restrict movement or vision. Keep safety in mind!
Packet pickup is on race morning from 6:00 AM - 6:50 AM at the start line in downtown Alameda. You must pick up your bib, timing chip, and t-shirt on race morning. No advance packet pickup available.
Yes, the course closes at 10:00 AM (3 hours after the start). We need to reopen the roads for the July 4th parade. Aid stations will be positioned throughout to support runners.
100% of proceeds from the Parade 5K benefit Midway Shelter, a local organization providing services and support to at-risk youth and families in our community. Every registration helps make a real difference!
Yes! Water and Gatorade stations are positioned throughout the 3.1-mile point-to-point course. Volunteers will be present to support runners. Post-race snacks and refreshments await at the finish line.
